In October 1968 Fisher Space Pen made its first trip in space onboard Apollo 7. Before this trip pencils were used in space. Due to the unique pressurized cartridge in Fisher Space Pen it was possible to use it in a state of zero-gravity. All pens from Fisher Space Pen can be used in space, under water, on oily surfaces, on glossy surfaces (photos, stickers, etc.), on oily or wet paper, in extreme cold (-35°C) and in extreme heat (+120°C). Due to the special construction of the cartridge it does not dry and lasts up to 3 times longer than most other pens.
