Shield 2

The Big Agnes Shield 2 is a lightweight four-season mountaineering tent built for high-altitude expeditions, severe weather, and cold-climate adventures. Designed to withstand strong winds, heavy snow loads, and demanding alpine conditions, this bomber shelter combines dependable protection with an impressively low weight. Its durable single-wall construction utilizes an ultralight three-layer Pertex® Shield fabric that is both waterproof and highly breathable. The advanced fabric construction helps manage interior moisture while providing reliable protection from harsh weather. An optional vestibule (sold separately) adds a protected entryway and extra gear storage space when needed.

• Body/Fly: Pertex® Shield three-layer fabric featuring a tightly woven DWR-treated nylon face fabric, microporous membrane, and tricot backer.
• Floor: Durable 70D nylon with a 10,000 mm waterproof polyurethane coating.
• Pole System: DAC Featherlite NSL poles with press-fit connectors.
• Breathability (MVTR): 40,000 g/m²/24 hours.
• All seams fully taped using solvent-free waterproof polyurethane tape with no PVC or VOCs.
• Includes 8 x 6" Dirt Dagger™ UL stakes that can also be buried as deadman anchors.
• All materials contain no intentionally added PFAS.
