SteriPEN

Miles Maiden, the founder of Hydro-Photon (SteriPEN) is passionate about outdoor life and decided that there must be other ways to purify water than filtering or using chemicals. He was right! This idea was the start of SteriPEN, a pocket-sized treatment option that uses ultraviolet light for water purification, destroying more than 99.9 percent of all bacteria, viruses and protozoa. SteriPEN, which is now part of the Katadyn Group, has developed eight different patents and has been awarded several different awards.
